1954 THE DREAM
Oreste Silingardi, the pioneer, concrete dreamer from whom everything originated.
In 1954 he started his activity with the aim of creating in Brianza a center of excellence for the production of wooden packaging. After a while, Nando, his son, and his daughter-in-law, Leda, a rigorous and tireless administrator, joined him in the adventure.
1994 THE EVOLUTION
Nando Silingardi, the forward-looking continuity, the inventor.
It is with him that Silibox was born, our patented folding wooden box, whose great potential remains at the beginning partly unexplored.
THIRD GENERATION
Alberto and Andrea Silingardi, “heirs of the knowledge of the fathers”.
A knowledge that, thanks to the synergic action of respect for previous teaching and a careful look at the contemporary, is every day “reconquered”.

The passion for the sea, highly professional expertise in woodworking and an opportunity, launch the Silingardi family into a new venture. In 1991 they took over a shipyard of historical tradition for the production of the Genoese “Gozzo”, a special boat, and, using the experience of Ivo, “master shipwright” of exception, they give rise to SILBOARD, company for the construction of recreational and sports boats.
That of the master shipwright is more an art than a work: they shape the wood and transform it into hulls able to sail the waters. When Ivo, an essential reference figure, dies, the SILBOARD nautical adventure is transformed giving life to a new beginning.

SILINGARDI continues to be the production engine while maintaining distribution for the industrial sector. SILBOARD, relying entirely on Silingardi production, becomes the exclusive distributor of the family business with an offer of wooden packaging of all types and sizes. Among the wide range of products, standard and tailor-made, the ace up the sleeve is SILIBOX, dad Nando’s patent.
SILIBOX is a fully foldable wooden box. By traveling folded, it reduces clutter and lowers shipping costs. At the time of use, it is assembled in an instant without the help of glue and nails. Born in the ’90s, it continues to be a unique and inimitable idea. Our distinctive brand that, due to its modernity, efficiency and practicality, continues to amaze customers all over the world.
